Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all Lotix users, workspaces, projects, production assets, prompts, source images, source videos, reference materials, generated output, billing activity, and use of the website or app.
Rights, consent, and production materials
- Only upload or reference content you own, control, are licensed to use, or otherwise have permission to use in the intended production and generation workflow.
- Get permission before using another person's likeness, voice, name, performance, private information, or distinctive identity in prompts, references, generated content, or production materials.
- Do not use Lotix to imitate, reproduce, adapt, continue, or exploit protected characters, films, shows, franchises, scripts, brands, logos, artwork, music, performances, or style-identifying elements unless you have the rights needed for that use.
- Do not use Lotix to evade union, guild, client, talent, brand, copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, platform, or provider restrictions that apply to your production.
- Do not represent that Lotix has cleared rights, approved a use, provided legal advice, or guaranteed that generated output is safe for release.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Illegal activity, unlawful instructions, fraud, scams, phishing, deceptive payment activity, or attempts to bypass legal restrictions.
- Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, or any sexualized depiction of a minor.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual deepfakes, sexual exploitation, or content intended to shame, extort, harass, or abuse a person.
- Materially deceptive impersonation, unauthorized likeness use, fake endorsements, misleading public-interest content, or synthetic media designed to defraud or mislead people about real events.
- Threats, harassment, stalking, doxxing, targeted abuse, incitement of violence, or content that encourages self-harm or harm to others.
- Hateful, dehumanizing, or discriminatory content targeting people based on protected characteristics.
- Instructions or assistance for cyber abuse, malware, credential theft, unauthorized access, evasion, or abuse of Lotix systems or third-party systems.
- Content that infringes, misappropriates, or violates intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, confidentiality, or other third-party rights.
- Content, prompts, references, or output that intentionally trades on a third-party studio, franchise, character, brand, logo, product, performer, artist, creator, or rights portfolio without authorization.
- Attempts to overload, scrape, reverse engineer, resell, benchmark deceptively, or interfere with Lotix, its providers, or other users.
Workspace conduct
- Invite only collaborators who should access the project.
- Use roles and permissions honestly and do not pressure others to misuse their access.
- Do not upload client, talent, or confidential materials into a workspace unless that workspace is authorized for them.
- Do not remove or hide important production, consent, rights, or review context from teammates who need it to make responsible decisions.
Enforcement
Lotix may review, scan, audit, block, remove, disable, or preserve any account, workspace, project, upload, prompt, reference, production asset, generated output, derivative media, preview, thumbnail, log, billing record, usage record, or related metadata. Audits may be manual, automated, random, periodic, targeted, report-triggered, provider-triggered, or performed across an entire account, workspace, project history, media library, generation history, or related app data.
Lotix may pause generation, limit features, suspend accounts, close workspaces, notify workspace owners, contact providers, reverse credits, report activity, or take other action when we believe this policy, the Terms, law, provider rules, rights obligations, or platform integrity may be at risk.
Enforcement decisions are not legal advice and do not mean a production has or has not cleared rights for a particular use.
Lotix does not undertake any duty to monitor all content or catch every violation. A review, audit, scan, moderation action, refusal, takedown, failure to review, or failure to remove content does not make Lotix responsible for user content, generated output, or downstream use.
Lotix may terminate accounts or workspaces that we determine are repeat infringers or repeat violators, including users who repeatedly generate, upload, store, or share material that is removed or restricted after infringement reports, red-flag review, provider notice, or our own rights-risk assessment.
Reporting
To report abuse, rights concerns, safety issues, or policy violations, contact legal@lotix.io or use the support channel available in your Lotix account. Include enough detail for us to identify the account, workspace, project, content, or generation at issue.
